Interesting that Leo opted to shift from the "starring role" of the FBI agent on the case to the "secondary role" of a sympathetic villain. (From the real life case, Leo will be the white husband of a Native American woman targeted for her oil rights.)

I suppose with re-writes, Leo can get more scenes and Plemons fewer scenes.

At this point, I'm more interested in the Plemons/Scorsese pairing than Leo. Not that I don't like their work together, but I'd rather see something different at the core. Maybe Leo is attempting a shift from his norm as well.

Wow! Plemons as the lead would have made it a totally different film.

too bad we have to get a lead actor who looks like a thumb, I’m sick of seeing him in stuff

GET USED TO BEING SICK.

We're in for a treat if The Irishman is any indication.
