I see the commercials for this and all I keep thinking is "yeah. they already did this a few years ago and it was called 'Alice in Wonderland'.

The third film this year from Disney that will lose at least 100 million dollars.

That is ghastly!

Christopher Robin is not quite as bad at around. 20 million in the red.

reply

1. A Wrinkle in Time (March 9, 2018)
2. Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25, 2018)
3. Christopher Robin (August 3, 2018)
4. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (November 2, 2018)

Are these the films you're referring to?

I don't see how CR did bad though...
Budget $70–75 million
Box office $193.7 million

reply

With 75-100 million in marketing costs Christopher Robin is still tens of millions in the red.

^^Nope your Own Break even point was 200 Million.....

You cant Keep moving The goal posts....

CR broke even and may even make a small profit it the years to come from Home Media.....

Also ....

You dont find it kinda ODD....

that your Making a big deal and Listing Disney's 3 flops that Lost 100 Million each Instead of Maybe Listing their 3 record breaking hits that resulted in 700 M+, 550 M+ and 400 M+ in profits?

Im sorry queen...But

Black Panther-550 M+ in Profit
Avengers IW-700 M+ in Profit
The Incredibles 2-400 + in Profit

Trumps

A Wrinkle in Time-100 M+ in Losses
Solo: A Star Wars Story-100 M+ in Losses
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms-100 M+ in Losses

The titles on this thread actually should have been "4th expensive flop from Disney this year, Yet Disney Still #1 from 3 record breaking Hits"

YOU cant WIN Queen.......Disney Owns YOU!

Disney can have its worst year in a decade and Still beat YOUR Favorite Studio WB By BILLIONS!

Queeeeeeeeeen?

no response?

you do remember setting The Break even point at 200 to 210 Million right?

here I'll help you remember-

1) This won't get close to 100 million domestically. Will probably top out around 80 million.

2) Pooh films do not play well internationally. This looks like it may only reach 50 million overseas best case giving it a worldwide gross of 130 million. It needs at least 200-210 million to break even depending on the marketing costs.

CR clearly met your break even point, and Will easily make a small profit on home media....

No more claiming its a flop or Tens of Million in The hole.....

BY YOUR OWN Words it broke even

PS good call on CR topping out at 80 M and NOT getting close to 100 M...lolollololololololololololololololololol

I saw a BLACK Morgan Freeman playing a traditionally WHITE GERMAN Herr Drosselmeyer, and thought "Screw this! I'm not watching another politically correct film that shoehorns black people into roles they were never meant to play! Screw them all!"

It gets even better! (Note the sarcasm). The story is terrible! It's one big fat, empty cliche with very little in the way of ballet dancing, no romance, a villain you could see a mile away, and a story lesson people have heard way too many times to really get anything out of it. The only thing going for this empty shell of a film is the costumes, and even those aren't as spectacular as some fantasy movies I've seen. The star is pretty, but very forgettable.

Thanks, but no thanks.
