Clearing X-men timelines: -

Recently i have seen many have the timelines with x-men confused. After watching all the films I have constructed these movie events in 2 different timelines.

Original timeline: -
X Men Origins: Wolverine - Where the film starts in 1979. Here we Charles Xavier with his legs working fine.
X- Men trilogy ( 2000-2005) - Here we again see Charles fine 1986 when Jean
is a kid. ( Events happening in X:3).
In this time line we see Moira appearing at end of X:3.
Wolverine (2013) - Here we see Logan has moved from x- mansion and still living with guilt of killing Jean. We also see Logan with Bone claws here at the end.
This time line ends here.

Alternate timeline or retconned timeline or Doomed timeline: -

This timeline starts with X-men: First class which dates back to 1960's and Charles loses his leg here. This is the diversion of events from the original timeline. Then we also see Raven and Charles grew up together which was never mentioned in original.

Now Days of the future past. Here we see Charles telling Logan (In 2023 during sentinel wars) that he was a way different man back then ( 1970's) after he lost his leg and Raven leaving him. These events directly refer to First class and now way it would have happened in First trilogy. Then Logan is still with his adamantium claw which was removed in Wolverine( 2013) movie.

This movie connects to Apocalypse where now we see Jean a grown teenage where as she was a kid in original. We then see Angel who is another grown up here but was shown as kid in original. Then our Moira who is one of the main characters in this trilogy was also seen in original. Many characters here are born in different times compared to the original timeline.

This is the timeline that was referred by Charles in 2023 where Logan travels back. This is the timeline that will continue to lead event that we see in Logan ( referring to Essex in post credit scene in X-men: Apocalypse). This is the DOOMED timeline where twice the mutant world is seems to have faced the extinction.

P.S: We may even have 2 different Wade Wilson where in original timeline stryker turns him in to weapon XI ( merc without mouth and many mutant powers pooled into his body).

In the alternate timeline Wade was turned by Ajax and Angel Dust. (They do not close his mouth). This Wade belongs to retconned timeline as we can see all the x-men characters of this timeline in x-mansion.

It can be tricky trying to make sense of it all. But good effort. When all is said and done, though, this franchise has some unquestionably messy timelines — Deadpool pokes fun at this fact for good reason.

Excluding all the “main” X-Men movies, I wouldn’t know where to place Deadpool. For one thing, DP2 is set in the present but the younger cast of X-Men make a cameo all looking how they’re going to appear in the upcoming Dark Phoenix (which is set to take place in the 1990’s). Then there’s Deadpool offing the insulting Origins Deadpool and then Ryan Reynolds himself (lol, great service to Canada! And I mean that... no stinkin’ Green Latern anymore!). This all goes way further than any alternate timeline.

I think in Deadpool’s case, his movies are very clearly set in their own universe. They just happen to be aware of the entire X-Men - and basically any movie - universe.
