Couldn't agree more. They've been showing the commercials so often that I had tuned them out and I actually thought it was over by now. Then the other day I paid attention at the end of the commercial and realized it hadn't even started yet.
But yes, there is literally nothing funny in any of the commercials. This looks like absolute crap. Complete, utter crap.

shareIt looks like the kind of premise that should only have one season. But if it does really well I could see it getting renewed.
I haven't watched "The Detour" or the other show about the people stuck on an Island. But I'll give this one a shot.
It does look good but it also kind of doesn't. It seems like it could be really great but it could also tank really badly. I like the lead actress and the show's premise, but it's TBS and that, unfortunately, might be its kiss of death

shareMaybe watch less TV then, easier to avoid commercials that way.. I managed to not see a single commercial for this show prior to its premiere. Not implying their aggressive marketing somehow falls on you, but if the alternative is under promoting, can't fault them too much. I'm curious, have they been promoting People of Earth as much as this show? I enjoyed the pilot for that one more than this show's...
