Dory is kind of a sad character (possible spoilers)

It's sad that someone has so little of a life that they put all of there energy and hopes and dreams into finding someone who took off on their own. She barely knows this chick and she's chasing her like she's a family member.
Something else that bothers me about Dory is how intrusive she is. She's so dead set on creating some drama in her life she doesn't give a crap who's toes she steps on in the process. This make her very unlikable and quite dumb IMO.
I hate her weak bf, ugh! Nothing turns me off more than a weak a$$ man. And Dory's self worth is so low that she settles for that tool. Like I said, she's sad.

She is sad, but possibly relatable to some people. I don't think a lot of us want to admit it, but a lot of us have sad aspects to our lives.

This is a dark comedy, so there are going to be aspects of it that are unpleasant. I LOVE it, and I relate and love Dory. Elegant, I think you're taking this show to seriously. Try to stand back from it, and view it for what it aims to be.

Actually I enjoyed the show I just think those two characters irritated me. But overall I think Dory was a sad character and maybe I just can't relate to someone being so lost that they make drama in their life just for "meaning".
As far as the bf is concerned, he reminded me of an ex that irritated the hell out of me because of how weak he was.

Her bf almost put me off the whole show... the first episode was too much, lol. Dory is a sad character. You see her drifting through life, trying to find something to latch onto so she can find some meaning.

Dory saw a flyer for a missing person she went to college with and then shortly thereafter saw her alive and running off seemingly in danger. That seems pretty darn reasonable for Dory to get 'obsessed' with finding her. It seems like the decent thing to do. Other then that she seeks purpose in her life like many of us. I find it hard not love both Dory and Drew each in their own right by the end. Both of them show great strength through out the season. And also remember there is heavy satire here and the flaws are meant to be exaggerated for comedic effect.

its ironic too, because Dory kept making fun of Gale (the rich woman) for having no life, when she is just a younger version of Gale, but even worse off, cause she doesnt have the trophy wife looks to marry wealthy in order to "find her place".

Gale picked up on this when she said to Dory, you better get married soon.
