so Keith though (spoilers)

Okay I get that he was really just a PI tryng to get a reward...he wasn't an abusive stalker ex of Chantal that maybe Dory thought of, which increased her fear of him.

But he did still seem creepy, right? I mean he did jump her, I can see why she would have been scared. No maybe he wasn't trying to kill her (necessarily) but he seemed to be getting overly possessive and had aggressive body language and that too. Again, not saying that warrants him being killed.... but he was still scary to me, even as himself (not actually being Chantal's stalker etc). His scary factor wasn't totally just 'created' in her head from her misinterpretation of the Chantal situation.

So...while I get that her over-involvement with something that turned out not to be a big deal, nothing more than someone just having a 'life crisis escape' kind of moment...resulted in someone getting killed...he was still a creepy and potentially abusive seeming dude. Right? Or did I misinterpret it?

yeah, but his temper was run of the mill hot headedness / abusiveness, not movie villain psychopathy. It was shown how he could turn hot and cold when he got in the argument with his wife on the phone about custody. He was normal scary, not the romanticized vision that Dorey had created of him.

Also he didnt get violent until after being tazed, so perhaps he was in self-defense / survival mode.
