I like the change
No need to change the show too much, since it's good enough as is, but changing Bibb's character somewhat, into a person Katie (and the audience) could actually grow to like, is a very good idea. Well done.
Ok, so Viv used to be worse? This is only the second episode I've seen and to seemed like the Mom was being a total B to a basically nice person.
shareNahn, Viv was more of a one dimensional caricature... She was just the "too nice to the point of looking fake" type person... Always trying to make the other lady lose weight. She was the type of person who gives out advice when is not asked... And would make passing comments about her family totally ignoring her... You can see her character as a plot device to bring out Katie's insecurities to make her a bitch and later redeem herself later in the episode...
