Season is half way through now and lets discuss early predictions about what shows could get renewed or cancelled in upfront meetings (if the show is not already renewed or cancelled)

ABC's Last Man Standing is renewed? I thought this was the final season.

Nothing on ABC is renewed yet but these are this poster's predictions.

That said, nobody ever announced this as the final season. Unless Tim Allen is unhappy or wants too much money, I think it's a definite renewal. Ratings are very strong for a Friday night show. ABC won't do better and they have to know it. It's also probably why CBS isn't messing too much with 5-0 and Blue Bloods.

Speechless is much more than 50-50. It's been higher rated than AH week to week. Both will be back barring anything strange.

FOTB will probably be too. It's too close to syndication for its parent company to let it go.

Considering how sorry a state the dramas are in, ABC should be bringing back every sitcom except for The Real ONeils. If they expand Friday comedies, they can even keep Dr. Ken and premiere 3 new comedies. Right now, comedy is the only thing really working for ABC aside from Greys.

Thank you for the updates. I like Speechless, too - especially Minnie Driver as the crazy mom. Although with current ABC sitcoms that description is practically redundant. And my best friend's daughter adores Fresh Off the Boat, - especially the crazy mom!  She'll be relieved to hear about "impending syndication reprieve." They're Aussie, but their daughter-in-law is Chinese via Taiwan, so Jessica Huang is practically family.
