Isn't weird that the main vilain is not a shown as a pure racist ?

I mean, sure the cop is a brute, murdering people, for the instance only afro-americans. My friend said it was obvious he was super racist but I'm not accepting that someone is racist simply because he's Killing colored people. I need more evidence then that before making that statement.

However, in the movie, I can only remember a single comment from Will Poulter that could be related to racism, when he's arguing with the girls that they should be disgusted of black's twisted pubic hairs or Something like that, which seems more like jealousy. It's kind of weird cause the director didn't have any restraints and could have easily shown the guy was a super racist cop with N*** word or any other similar insults. I mean, if you're gonna kill someone for no Reason because of his color, I hardly think you would refrain to insult him. So that was very weird the way the director handled it.

On the contrary, Will Poulter, while showing a real brutality, didn't seem particularly racist :
1. He accepts the presence of John Boyega without any protests while he could have easily got rid of him;
2. He fraternizes with the vietnam veteran;
3. He let black people free at the end if they agree they won't say a word about what had happened;

So Will Poulter seems more like a brutal cop hating thugs and hippies than a racist. Of course, I am not in his mind, I'm just extrapolating with what we have.

He makes other comments like using the term 'boy' and making reference to gospel music.
And then when he asks John boyegas character if one of the suspects told him where the gun was and boyega told him no
"And he didn't even tell you huh?"

It's not the kind of overt racism you get in some films but it's very clear that he in fact prejudicial against black people
