People like the idiots on this thread will NEVER admit anything because they don't have a fundamental understanding of what you're even talking about when you say "privilege." They think it means that you're accusing them of having an easy life. They think it means that they've had everything handed to them. And that's where their defenses predictably go up and you're hit with right-wing talking points meant to shut down a conversation that they never want to have.
They don't believe in systematic, or what I call institutionalized racism because it's never affected them. You can show them statistic after statistic proving racial bias within the system, affecting our communities and they won't accept it. And they won't accept it because they don't want to be made to feel ANYTHING about it. Because that would mean that they would perhaps feel some responsibility in DOING something about it. And they can't have that, can they? They don't want to be burdened with empathy, do they? They want nothing more than to forget about what's happened in the past. And they desperately want us to forget about it too.
So, all you'll get from them--for the most part--is push-back. How dare you demand that they acknowledge inequality. They want to continue to labor under the delusion and bask in the blissful ignorance of the belief that everyone is created equal and is treated fairly in this country.

When I lived in Philly, I grew accustomed to being racially mocked by blacks in my neighborhood, but according to the 1st amendment they had the right to do that, as long as they didn't threaten me with violence. Thankfully I moved the hell out of that ghetto ass city because I actually went to work on a daily basis, saved up the money, and moved.
The only racism I'm seeing today, actual racism -- meaning racial slurs and physical assaults -- are mostly being committed by blacks against whites.
All the knockout game attacks, all the flash mob riots on shopping malls, walmarts, and other stores, all the white trump supporters targetted by violent blacks, etc. Black violence is pretty much an epidemic against both blacks and whites.

The blind pig where the riots jumped off was actually a community center run by a black man who got laid off when the plant he'd been working in for years closed down,and he got laid off, so he made the center a gambling place at night just to pay his bills, basically, and because he had a family to support. Blind pigs started in Detroit's black communities because they weren't allowed to even set foot in the white-owned entertainment places downtown (which is ironic,since one of the main casinos in Detroit was owned at one time by a black couple.) And they hated the police because back in the '60s, the Detroit police was literally 99% white, racist as hell, and could go around beating up black folks and throwing them in jail for little or no reason--even if they hadn't committed a crime. There was even a group of policemen called the Big Four who went around doing exactly that---beating the hell out of black folks because they were allowed to get away with it, while the police dept. turned a blind eye to it. I was told by a guy who had just moved to Detroit as a teen at that time, before the riots, that the police would roll up on any group of young black men just hanging around on a corner, and jump out of the car shouting, "What the f*** are you n****** doing out here?" Look it up, do the damn research,people. And white people became rich through enslaving the people in practically damn near every country they invaded, and got rich and prosperous through slavery. Funny how you decided to leave that little inconvenient part out.
