My father was a DPD reserve in the late 60s...


He spent the better part of 24 hours riding on the back of fire trucks with a rifle, keeping rioters at bay while the firefighters put out fires. For that, he was paid $1.30 an hour, and lost his day job as an orderly at Saratoga Hospital, because he didn't show up for work. Meanwhile, my mother and my infant sister had to fight through the chaos to get to my grandparents' house in Warren. Just putting that out there...

Really? So you are saying that the actions of one cop should represent the whole department? You aren't too bright are you? The public realizes that not all cops are responsible for the actions of all other cops. So most cops who were mistreating blacks in the 60's thought of themselves as good cops, Times change. The laws have changed, and what was once acceptable is now ILLEGAL.

Yes because depicting a historical event where a few blacks were murdered in cold blood by some crooked cops is the same as saying all white people are villains.
