Already better than The Daily Show

Sucks that it is only one once a week though.

reply

Hardly. This is just a liberal circle jerk show. At least Jon Stewart could poke fun at all sides of the political spectrum.

reply

She made fun of Sanders and Clinton first and foremost.

reply

Yea I think it was alright. I am a liberal myself but get annoyed when it is stupidly liberal, as I am annoyed by stupidity ^^. I have to say I too enjoyed it more than the current TDS. It felt a bit dishonest though when they were talking about the refugee demographics. I get the sense that Trump etc are talking about the refugees coming to Europe, which are big majority men in fighting able age and they choose to go to whichever country they want.

reply

I didn't notice anything about so-called "refugee" demographics. Maybe thats in a newer episode.

I totally agree btw, the push to allow these people in and bypass our traditional immigration process is totally unacceptable. Proponents of this tend to act like we have no other immigration process and of course that is flat out inaccurate.

I'm a (classical) liberal and a life-long democrat but I am voting for Trump this time because he respects the Constitution and seems like he wants to help improve American lives, not just allow easy votes in across unsecured borders and bribe them with other peoples tax dollars. Also he's pro gun-rights which is very important to me.

reply

trump wants to be able to sue reporters for making him look bad. thats a violation of the constitution. he also wants to ban muslims from entering the country--also a violation of the constitution. he also wants to create a registry of muslims. again. violation. hes not a fan of the constitution. let me tell you. trust me, ok. he is not a fan.

reply

You're completely wrong about everything you're crying about. Slander and libel laws exist for a reason. The media can not just attack someone as racist, that is why those laws are on the book (specifically).

And the president is allowed to prevent any class of people (any group, for any reason) from entering the country. Non-American citizens do not get US rights. This is a prudent and legal and constitutional measure that has been taken numerous times in US history.

The 'refugees' can get in line like everyone else.

reply

in fact, non citizens do have rights in the us, and there is ample case law confirming this. you have no business commenting on constitutional law--you clearly know nothing about it.

reply

To clarify, no one, including US citizens, gets US rights outside of US territory. The moment you leave the US borders, there are no more US rights unless you enter a US embassy (which is technically US territory). This is because it would ultimately require military intervention to enforce those rights, and globally that is unrealistic in scope.

So if you want US rights, you have to be in USA. That's why we have to be selective about who we allow in. We can't afford to dispense our rights and privileges to absolutely everyone in the world that wants them.

Not everyone is allowed in, we have a process for that, and everyone is expected to adhere to it. No one is allowed to bypass that process just because they come from a sad situation. The world is full of sad situations and we can't fix all of them. If the people of Syria want a better tomorrow, they may have to fight for it, just as we did to secure our freedom.

reply

no one is talking about rights outside of the us. entry into the country is about rights in the us. go educate yourself instead of spreading your ignorance:

Speaking of ignorance...

You, two messages ago:

"he also wants to ban muslims from entering the country" - So OBVIOUSLY we ARE talking about people outside of the country. Keep up.

Muslims outside of the country do not get any US rights or privileges, and that's not discriminating against them in any way, that's simply how it works. As I outlined above, NO ONE outside of the country gets US rights or privileges.

Just admit it, you want a US handout, you don't want to wait in line like everyone else, and you think you're entitled to browbeat people into compliance with this agenda. It's ridiculous, you look foolish for trying it, and you trivialize the hard work of everyone else that played by the rules to get in by promoting this agenda.

The rise of Trump is the completely predictable backlash you can expect from such vapid, transparent shenanigans. The more you scheme in this direction, the harder the silent majority will push back. We have yet to barely look in your direction. You could not stand the full weight and fury of our undivided attention. You should probably just stay in Syria and deal with those ISIS pushovers.

reply

definition of enter: "come or go into (a place)." i.e., the usa.

youre really that dumb. wow.

reply

So if they are coming or going into a place, they are not already in there. Therefore, with that place being America, which they are not currently in, THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY AMERICAN RIGHTS.

Just give up, it's pathetic. Go back to your hut.

http://news.yahoo.com/indiana-tries-reject-syrian-refugees-judge-says-no-195803896.html

A federal judge has ordered Indiana state agencies to continue funding charities that support Syrian refugees, ruling that the governor's attempt to prevent resettlement was unconstitutional discrimination.

since the truth is consistently the exact opposite of what you say, i want to try something. mmmK-Ultra, tell me what set of numbers will NOT win the next powerball.

reply

Good thing Trump's not running for governor then, eh?

A governor can not limit the influx of a given class of people to the country but the President *can*, under any criteria he or she wants. You are so flagrantly mistaken I can only assume it's intentional.

8 U.S. Code ยง 1182 - Inadmissible aliens

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

Muslim immigrants = any class of aliens

This is a completely legal and constitutional presidential power and it has been used numerous times in our history.

So, yet again, you make proponents of the 'open our borders' narrative look like buffoons. Try again?

reply

muslim us citizens wouldnt even be aliens (he spoke categorically of muslims), and he expressed a desire to have a registry of muslims in the country also. theres no way for you to make trump look like he knows anything about the constitution.

reply

He did not speak categorically about Muslims. Obviously, US citizens are not 'immigrants'... Just give up, it's obvious you have no interest in being honest, you're just trying to attack Trump.

I'm putting you on ignore. Good bye.

reply

So I go to your account to find the 'ignore this user' button. And the first sentence of your first review is literally enough 'apostacy' to get you killed by the state, in Saudi Arabia (an Islamic nation).

"I'm an atheist and anti-theist"

They will literally behead you for that one statement.

Think carefully about your defense of Islam. Now, goodbye.

reply

he did:

total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States

reply

For what? Not being liberal enough or being too damn nice to those hateful Republican?

reply

I forget, I just remember the first thing she did was make fun of both of them. This show has really taken a turn for the worst, I don't plan on watching much more of it.
