What's the over/under odds for cancellation

I think it's awesome to finally see a female late night talk show host, but this sure ain't it. This woman does not seem funny at all, from any comedy point of view. The coming attractions they've shown for the past couple of months were pretty bad, and the coming-up-tonight commercials I've been seeing are either cringeworthy or just forgettable. It's pretty sad when the first thing that crosses your mind seeing a new promo is how soon the show will probably get cancelled (which unfortunately seems to be the case with most TBS original shows the past couple years except Conan). She sure tries hard, I'll give her that, but yelling an unfunny joke doesn't make it any funnier. I wonder how long they'll let this shiny turd go before pulling the plug. I'm guessing end of first season tops, unless they shake up the format and lose the lousy writers. Any other grown-up objective opinions?

Three seasons.

I agree with what you're saying, I've lost all respect for this show on the basis of their obvious agenda and blatant hypocrisy. But I think it'll make it while on the basis of a couple things.

1) It's cheap

2) A company like TBS does not invest as much into promoting a show like this without planning to stick with it at least a couple seasons

3) Election year coverage is a highlight for a show like this, that will help build momentum for it to coast on for a while. Especially if (eww) Hilliary wins.

4) Maybe she'll get her **** together.

Good points there, we'll see what happens. I guess when I finally quit seeing the annoying promos on TBS I'll know it's done for. Got a kick out of your Hillary comment haha. Thanks for the feedback.

People get that all political humor (indeed, all political shows of any kind) have an "agenda," right, because the person making them is going to have opinions? No one can do this type of show and have it be neutral. That would be a talk show, more like Ellen or Conan (and even they have opinions, they're just not the basis of the show) with, like, musical guests and stuff. Just watch the ones you agree with. No one is tying anyone down and forcing anyone to watch a show on cable at 10:30 at night. My local "news radio" station is populated entirely by Right wing shows like Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck. No one forces me to listen to it either. If I do listen to it, I do so at my own risk. Would it be nice if they had more neutral or even liberal shows, sure. But apparently, radio listeners are more conservative because those shows do well, even in a fairly middle-of-the-road town like where I live. And, apparently, late night politically-themed talk show viewers are more liberal. Or it's harder to make jokes about topics like being pro-life or banning gay marriage maybe.

Didn't Chelsea Handler host a late night show for 8 years?

I'm not much on rear-window ethics.

I she was not such a annoying, passive aggressive, mousy, feminist liberal the show would last a few episodes before being cancelled, it is that that bad, forced, and unwatchable but if it gets cancelled early she will blather about discrimination so she will likely get 2 seasons out of this train wreck by networks who don't want the bad press.

renewed by tbs in spite of all the criticism on this board, go figure:

TBS’ breakout weekly late-night show Full Frontal With Samantha Bee will stick around for the rest of the 2016 Presidential campaign. The network has ordered 26 more episodes of the series less than two months into its run. That brings the order for the show starring and executive produced by The Daily Show alumna Samantha Bee to 39, taking it to the end of 2016. “Stay crazy America, I’ll be here all year!” said Bee.

You really have an unrealistic view of this board's influence.
