Episode at 10:30 5/23 was listed as new with the title of Vaping, but a re-run from last week actually aired. What's weird is that the show posted clips from "part two" of that episode on Youtube within the last few hours and there's reviews & articles about it from other sources. Given the lack of activity on this board and how little TBS re-airs new or "new" episodes, it's a wonder how many people watch it.
I have no idea what the hell That was?! I was looking forward to watching the new episode I DVR'd, only to realize it's just last week's episode with a different episode title. There's gotta be some kind of mistake.
The episodes are repeated several times during the week, each says "new". I think it is because it is new for that week. An example: I can't watch it on it's normal airing, but I can on Friday's at Midnight, and it says that the episode is NEW even thought is has aired already during the week. The vaping episode was aired the same way. I caught the last 10 minutes of that episode during its normal time slot, but then when I DVRed it for Friday, it was the full "vaping" episode.
They air the same "new" show twice each week - the first airing is on Monday, than it use to repeat the same new episode (which is good for me, since I have too much being recorded on my household DVR) at the end of the week on Friday's at midnight (which had been moved two weeks ago to Saturday's at 11:00pm).
Since it is the same "new" episode, they keep it as saying "new". There are several shows that do the same thing. I think they do it with Full Frontal because it is only aired once on TBS, as apposed to other cable shows that repeat new episodes several times during the night it first airs.
The normal practice has always been to say NEW for the first time an episode airs, and the following same episodes just give the regular title (and if you look at the info, you can see the original air date).
I wrote my second response to the OP because a while after the initial one, because I had notice other shows doing the same thing that the OP was asking about, and wanted to give as much info as I could to help. I am on my iPhone, so I couldn't just edit my initial post.
