Breathless pace bother anyone else?

Watching the 9/12 show, I figured out that the frantic, tense way that Bee does the initial news roundup and then the one more detailed story in the first 2/3 of the show makes the material less funny than it could be. I know from having watched her on the Daily Show that she is capable of better comic timing. I wish she would trust herself to deliver her material in a more impactful way, even if it means editing some of it out. I sort of have the same criticism of John Oliver, but he pulls it off better.

The last third of the show, where she lets her staff film people expressing kooky points of view (last Monday it was Latinos for Trump) is my favorite part.

Yes and its not the pace itself which is like trying to read paragraphs in a single breath. Its the loud gasp she makes in between points that i find very distracting. A slightly slower delivery would make the show 100% better

"trying to read a paragraph in a single breath"--well put, KCanthony!

Only took her 1:30 into her show to make fun of Trump with everything going on. Trump is ahead in the polls, she doesn't care! Screw her! I think they reported see her entering Trump tower holding hands with Hillary as they got a room together. NY Times reported it!

I just started watching her and something seemed "off." I think your post explains it.

Frankly between the frantic way she talks and standing up all the time. Im surprised she doesn't collapse on stage.
