Nicola, a Dr, getting a job as practise nurse? Really??

So, she was a nurse, qualified as a doctor, then couldn't get a job as a dr when she moved, so got a job as a practice nurse. How insulting to nurses. Nicola has spent 7 odd years becoming a doctor, so I imagine she hasn't had the time to keep up with her nurse registration requirements. Or quality as a practice nurse, which takes extra training beyond the three years to become an RGN. So how can she get a job as a practice nurse without said qualifications? Very insulting to us nurses who don't want to be considered pseudo doctors

Ok. Take a deep breath, relax, and say to yourself: This is only a TV show.

Oh, the humanity...

But there is suspending disbelief, then there is dangling it over the Grand Canyon! A show like A Word, I think, prides itself on its realism. Such an inaccuracy is jarring.

If you had to choose between a doctor and no one, who would you choose? Not to put down MDs or anything...
