How do you make a movie or story about someone who takes long swims?

Why would anyone want to know or hear a story about this lady who tries these long distance swims? What is the interest?

This only interests people who actually swim in the ocean, lake, river or swimming pool.

The interest (and benefit) is inspiration. What she did at her age was incredible. It inspired me - got a fantastic workout in this morning. The couch potatoes, yeah, it probably won't interest people like that. But if you like challenging yourself, pushing yourself to be better - "Nyad" will interest you.

I like challenging myself, I just haven't considered it would make an interesting movie of how I, a non-runner, learned to run a marathon in less than a year. Rythym and pacing.

"Nyad" will be interesting to some people - non-interesting to others. It's interesting to me because I'm into physical fitness.

My curiosity was about why other people wanted to see this or
why they liked it? Not something I think I would watch without
some reason.
