I don't think there's a chance in hell that would happen. At most they'll continue to deal with the issue of his mind being corrupted by association with the killers he's been interviewing, but it will never go as far as him becoming one himself.
shareI think that there are parallels between the killers' progression into their crimes, and Ford's progression into his interviewing techniques. He got away with some stuff, and that made him cocky. I also think the serial killers are almost like _his_ "victims". So in that sense, no I don't think that he'll become a killer. He doesn't need to really, to satisfy his compulsion, if I can call it that.
That is at least how I interpret things.
That is actually an interesting theory...
shareThe writers aren't so dumb that they would take such a bizarre leap away from one of their core themes: Serials killers are born with antisocial personalities, and a large dose of cruelty for good measure. Not all antisocials become serial killers, but all serial killers are antisocials. Their particular idiosyncrasies (such as a shoe fetish) may develop from their life experiences, but their brains are hardwired for such horrifying behavior. Ford has issues, and his thinking may become warped by associating with serial killers, but he will never become one.
shareWtf no! You know this series is based on a book based on true happenings.
Turning Holden into a killer would be the most stupid thing imaginable.
The series is rooted in realism, it´s not Hannibal.
i believe he will become, or continue to be, a serial eater. first the potatoes, only the potatoes, then all the stringbeans, then all the ham.
people will notice this & snicker at him, behind his back. because people are cruel.
