Problems with Dr. Smith
Ok, there are plenty...here is mine.
She is to evil, instead of a bumbling coniving coward. Hasn't she killed someone in cold blood already?
How can she be redeemd after that?

I'd like to see her tossed out of the airlock.
shareThey botched the hell out of Dr. Smith. It's annoying. The whole point of Dr. Smith is he's a smart guy who actually helps out and saves the day from time to time. He's worth keeping around, despite all his nefarious scheming. This Dr. Smith is just trouble making baggage.
shareThat's right.
A theme in Lost in Space is that love changes people and makes them better. It seems like Dr. Smith is some kind of foreign spy and is against them and as time goes on the kids and the mom win him over. The copilot always wants to kick him out of kill him but they can't let that happen and stick up for him time and again.
That's a strong Jesus message there.
I also see it on the show Supernatural.
I really like that about these shows as the typical response in society today is to destroy someone for doing something you don't like.
I just can't stand the character. I find Parker Posey's take on the character incredibly annoying.
share+1 on that.
She caused me to stop watching.
But you guys are thinking of the old Dr Smith from a very campy and silly TV series from the sixties. That sort of stuff just would not fly today.
Why would you want to follow the same template of what has gone before, when you are updating the show for today?
I like Poseys Dr Smith because she is different, I like the take on the character and Posey is a good actress.
