Man idk if this was meant to be funny but the pilot had me in tears

I agree!!! I just watched it and was laughing out loud especially after the two guys met. It was perfect!!! Cant wait to see what happens next.
shareWhat made it funny? Was it that she was a lying thieving b*tch who wiped out their bank accounts and left the men destitute? I didn't find it hilarious at all but rather a felony for which she will be going to prison for a long long time when she is captured.
shareOf course that was HORRIBLE! There is no doubt about that. But I found the way the two guys interacted was intended to be funny.
shareYikes!!
I feel like they did intend the humor and I loved every single minute of it. I rarely laugh out loud. For any reason. I was choking I was laughing so hard.
I came on the boards specifically looking for anyone who understood the quiet dark humor in the pilot.
When they meet reminds me of a scene in Arrested Development. If you've seen it. With Gob and the lawyer who's all serious about his job.
halleberry, I'm glad someone else understands and saw the humour (which I think was intended).
I have never seen Arrested Development, but I can just imagine.
I love your name sister! It's a funny show on Netflix if you ever are interested. You'll know by the first episode whether it's your kind of humor or not. I can never really explain the humor other than there are a lot of moments like that one. We don't talk about season 4 of that show. ;-) Netflix tried to bring it back after being canceled from Fox I believe. Total mess.
shareI gagged when I watched the first commercial and heard the absolute worst fake French accent I have ever heard in my life. That was enough to keep me from wasting any of my time watching the show.
shareI know what you mean. I'm VERY strict about accents. But she only plays that character for like the first 20 minutes of the show. Then never again. In that episode and seemingly through the show. Maybe save flashbacks. And apparently she's meant to be Belgium and not French? I'm good with accents, but I can't say one way or the other if it was an accurate depiction of it. Other than it was annoying.
shareImdb has this down as a comedy
