Too many subplots & not enough Van Helsing

When is this series going to concentrate its time on the character it's named after? Time spent on the subplot of the survivors taking refuge in the hospital has increased while the series has been spending less and less time on Van Helsing.

The series is called "Van Helsing".

It's not called "Axel and the Doc" or "Trezzo and Sam" or any of the many other characters that are being shoved into the main story with each new episode.

I just watched episode #5 and it was 25% Van Helsing and 75% everyone else. Where are the writers & producers taking this series and why should I care?

Yep, almost every episode consists mostly of scenes involving unlikable survivors fighting/arguing in the hospital. I thought this was going to be basically Vanessa The Vampire Slayer. That was how the show was being promoted by SyFy all this summer.

I agree, but action wise, this was one of the best eps yet. What bugs me the most is we don't know who these hospital characters are. So why should we care. They need to let us get to know these people, because right now, why would it matter if they all got eaten. It's really bad writing. I don't really care they got taken over by new whiny stupid people.

I did like the scenes with Vanessa and her friend at the end.

i like this show but i agree 100% that the eps should focus more on Van Helsing and much much less on the other survivors. i also really wish they'd scrap the 2 lead emo/goth big bad "villains" (the main holder male vamp and his Anne Rice wanna be wife(?)).
