this show is so much better without the vampires

I really like the idea of Van Helsing being the cure, and the survival aspect has been okay, but whenever a vampire speaks or has a scene with a group of them, it's like nails on a chalkboard. From some of them making weird dog/hyena growling snorting noises, to the over-dramatic acting, it really is unbearable.

You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.

i like the feral-ish non-speaking vamps but the vamps that speak (especially the man & woman "lead" vamps, (are they husband & wife?)) are terrible. i like the idea of the vamps being just almost non-thinking/going only by instinct feral vamps rather than Anne Rice wannabe vamps that are in the show.

Yeah, the husband/wife are who I mean about the acting lol. I don't know why the villains in some shows have to act like they went to the Acting School of Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy. It's just unwatchable.

I do like how some are more devolved, but the sounds they make are so distracting, it takes me out of the show. though, I wouldn't mind having a Tom Cruise vampire now and then 😂

"...the Acting School of Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy".

LOL! i love it! that's so true! :)

Agreed. If they avoid prophecy and true blood ish royalty crap the show should do fine.

You mean make it more like 30 Days of Night and Stakeland put together. That'll work. Hopefully they pull it off cause I'm starting to like it. The last 3 episodes were pretty good. If they can continue to step it up from the middle part of the first season instead of waiting till the end more people will enjoy it enough to get renewed.
