Two questions

Is Axel in love with Doc? He's always sniffing around her.
Also why is Mohamed so determined to find Vanessa?

reply

I think everyone who watches the show is asking themselves the same questions.

These are the sorts of mysteries that make a series interesting. As long as they eventually provide some kind of answer I'm willing to go for the ride.

Mohammad is determined to find his sister not Vanessa. the picture he was looking at in the most recent ep.8 was a pic of his sister not Vanessa. he mentions his sister and that he WILL find her several eps back.

regrading the Axel/Doc thing (reposting this from a different thread)...

just finished watching the most recent ep (ep.8) and the Axel/Doc thing is bizarre, lame and completely unnecessary IMO. it also feels 100% forced. Axel's continuing to put his hand on the Doc when it has been very clear to anyone with eyesight that Doc does not want to be touched like that (at least not at moment in the character's life and not in that moment in the ep) and the fact he keeps doing it and kind of hitting on her (in ep.8 he pulls her aside and creepily smiling offers to give her and only her his fruit cup he still had) is so stupid and UBER-creepy. she even tells him later in ep.8, when he comes over to her and tries his creepy concern for her, to leave her alone and he storms off in a huff completely oblivious to her overt actions/words (over several eps) to leave her alone.

it also doesn't help that the Doc is shrill and completely unlikable. Axel started off cool/somewhat likable but he's not at all really anymore...wait, 2 unlikable, douchey people? maybe they belong together. lol.

I suspect Doc is relapsing and fighting the blood lust. Axel spent the past three years feeding her his blood to keep her alive and while he may feel bonded to her, I believe she's trying to avoid him and his blood for this reason. I remember when she cut into Vanessa's wound and it began to bleed, her first words were "S%@t."

Which leads me to believe she or Flesh might be the killer.

Mohammed needs to find Vanessa to help him find his sister. I believe they made a deal.

I agree with you in all

I agree that Axel feeding Doc with his own blood is one big reason for Doc to feel akward around him. She "didn't ask for any of it" as she said herself and that was before she was turned into a vampire. All things considered she might have chosen death over this condition.

But I still wonder why, of all the "turned-back-humans", Doc is the one relapsing ( if that's really what's happening.)
Doc wasn't a vampire for 3 years, she was turned for 6 months. Flesh was turned at the beginning by Julius himself. Same for Susan except we don't know who turned her. So why would her blood lust be stronger then the other's ?

Is it because Doc was turned by a Feral whereas Flesh and presumably Susan were turned by a Feeder, leaving her with more animalistic side effects ?

I don't think Doc is relapsing. I think Doc is profoundly unhappy and angry and guilty. Evidenced by what happened in Help Out.

She said sh*t cutting into Vanessa's leg because the cut immediately healded over. How do find the cause of an infection if you can't keep the cut open? Thus she had John force the edges of Vanessa's skin apart so it would stop instantly healing long enough for Doc to find the vampire tooth infecting her.

As for Doc's relationship with Axel, that relationship is done since she closed the quarantine door on him and left him to die/be turned into a vamp by stupid Gorman Jones in the Farm. Before Help Out, Doc was angry at Axel for elevating her to a pedestal she knew she didn't deserve. Axel had assumed that Doc had tried to save Smitty when Doc had actually shoved Smitty in the face to keep him from re-entering the hospital, resulting in Smitty getting killed and Doc getting bit. Even when Doc confessed to Axel what she had done, Axel forgave her and absolved her of guilt saying his assumptions about her actions were not her fault, and that she was no more guilty of anything than every other person just struggling to survive. For Doc, that forgiveness was brutal for her. It's odd, but some people, after being forgiven for something they can't forgive themselves for, then get angry at the person who forgave them.
