They were nowhere near the heart which is just under the breasts not above them. How hard could it have been to see how it's done and speaking of, you don't push down sideways either. Facepalm. Other than that good Siege episode.
There must be a reason for it because I noticed it looked entirely ridiculous myself and the male actor seemed very uncomfortable doing it. The area they were pushing can actually kill a person if you use enough force. It was very cringy to watch.
Pervy? They're actors, it's their job. You don't call your doctor Pervy do you?
The actor was not playing a doctor. He didn't want to be in the situation at all. So, with the part that he was playing, he was obviously uncomfortable in the situation. No need to read more into it than that!

Oh you mean from the characters point of view. I gotcha. The problem is that the doctor standing there should have corrected/instructed him better in proper CPR at that moment, because what he was doing is completely ineffective. I don't particularly care much though because it's a tv show and not everything has to be completely realistic.
Yes, it was awkward looking. However, given that real CPR on a healthy person would seriously injure or kill them, I can understand going for theatrical CPR to make sure no one was injured.
Maybe they can find a way to improve their hand placement and still not injure the other actor in future episodes.
