They bury her next to her sexually abusive father?!!! WTF?! (ep.11)

Susan hated her father for many reasons but the big reason is that he sexually abused her and yet geniuses Vanessa & Mohammad decide to bury her right next to him?! WTF?! burying Susan next to her mother? yes. most definitely but for F's sakes don't bury the scumbag father there with them!!

reply

Man, you tilt at some crazy windmills. What were they supposed to do, dig up the Dad they already buried and bury him some place else? Not bury Susan near her Mother? She's friggin dead anyway and they are about to get hunted by Sam so WTF difference does it make? Seriously...go watch another show, why are you punishing yourself if you hate it?

reply

They actually shouldn't have buried the father there in the first place. Even within the context of the show, Vanessa says, "She loved this place. Now she gets to be here forever." Well, it's ironic that they also buried her father right next to the people he abused. Could have just thrown his body somewhere in the woods.

DonNova, EXACTLY! i agree w/ you 100%. i don't know what bizarre world Octavius lives in but it's not reality.

reply

Octavius, once again you defend the horrible writing on this show. lol. your entire comment is ridiculous and goes against what actual human beings would do. oh and i've said many times i enjoy the show but i'm not going to pretend (the way you have deluded yourself in doing) that the writing is great.

reply

Not bury the father, bury it elsewhere or cremate it.

reply

Not that it matters anymore, but with what we learnt about Susan's father, what about the child Susan lost ( gave up ? ) ? Was the child born from the sexual abuses ?

reply

Yep I was curious about the kid too. Did the father impregnate her when he raped her? That could've been another interesting story line too, if they hadn't killed her. The only thing that I can give them props for in this episode besides turning Sam into a feral, is letting him feed on Susan's corpse. It turned my stomach to see it, but at the same time it was one of those bold dark horrific scenes that works in a series like this. She lived and died a tragic life only to get fed upon in death is *beep* up. Makes you feel even more pity for her.

reply

Hey, O.P., they're dead, and no one coming along later will know their history.

Regardless, they usually bury the husband next to the wife and then the children, unless the children die before the parent.

MAGA!

reply

Hey avnrulz, that's not the point. i guess you'd toss your mother/father/brother/etc in some ditch since "they're dead" and don't mean anything to you. does this REALLY need to be explained to you and Octavius? the SEXUALLY ABUSIVE dad that Susan clearly hated should never have been buried there. Vanessa saying how now Susan can spend eternity there on the farm RIGHT THERE NEXT TO THE MAN WHO SEXUALLY ABUSED HER just reconfirms the fact he shouldn't have been buried there to begin with. instead of just posting on threads without reading other responses you need to read them. read what DonNova said. it's 100% spot on.

reply

It's only a TV show, get over yourself.

MAGA!

reply

avnrulz, so you admit that you were completely wrong. good. if the only thing you can say to support your statement is "It's only a TV show, get over yourself" then yeah, you have no argument.

reply

The scene was wrong, you're right about that.
Even if the bodies had to be buried that way for practical reasons (too many rocks on the opposite side of the mom's grave... or whatever >_>), I don't see what was so hard for the writers to write a decent and appropriate dialogue at the end. It just makes you wonder what part of Susan's tale Vanessa didn't understand or maybe she is as deaf as Sam.

The sad thing is, this episode wasn't made about Susan but about Sam. The writers were done with her character and too busy to make Christopher Heyerdahl shine. I assumed they would have taken more time on the loss of Vanessa's precious and only friend but I was mistaken, she just wasn't that important or worth writing a decent burial and farewell.

reply

Not only that, but the van helsing girl actually says they shouldn't bury her father because she might want to say few words to him! In the actual *beep*? She just said she was abused sexually by him and she hated his guts, then shot him dead, why would she want a few words in with her dead abusing father?

Just GARBAGE writing! Then they bury the father, rather than burning him or just throwing him outside somewhere to get dissolved faster, no they actually dig a grave and bury him. Then when she dies they bury her next to him. ZERO LOGIC! GARBAGE WRITING!

reply

slickr, exactly! lol. when Vanessa said Susan would want to say some words about the father she already told the group that abused her and ruined her life i wanted to punch Vanessa in the face! LOL.
