I wondered the exact same thing. Shouldn't Dylan be immune from vampire bites? She is a Van Helsing, after all, unless she is adopted?
I can't figure out why the vamps kept having her daughter a secret from Vanessa. If they wanted Vanessa they could have lured her there easily by letting the word get out they had her daughter at the camp. That was s seriously convoluted plot development that had her daughter appear out of nowhere - and as a vampire. It came out of left field.
Axel being alive, but vamped is a welcome surprise. I hope Vanessa turns him back. His character was interesting, and he was the only truly loyal person Vanessa had watching her back. I hope he kills the Doc, as she is a terrible character, completely irredeemable.
So Taka turns out to be a power-hungry human willing to make deals with vampires. Aren't any of the main characters in this show worth saving? I mean, Sam is a serial killer, Mohamad sold out Vanessa to save his sister who values her own comfort over humanity itself, the Doc is a traitorous coward. Other than Vanessa, the only two characters who've shown any humanity are Flesh and Susan, and both were once vampires. Even Axel kept a lot of secrets and didn't think saving children was more important than keeping the door closed with no vampires around at that hospital. The human species is not looking very good so far.
I would have been happy if Dimitri has just died already. Please, just move on to a new villain. At least Julius wasn't in this one. That actor seriously overacts in every scene. Rebecca needs some explanation as her helping the rebels makes no sense from several angles.
