Well, they didn't kill Ham/Pops off and they're not pretending that he never existed. In last night's episode CeCe said he went back to India. The reason he didn't say goodbye to his daughter and granddaughter before he left was he was afraid they would talk him out of it. CeCe says "I promise you, you will hear from him again." How is that gonna happen?

Knowing what really happened made some of the dialogue sound odd.
Bowie says since Ham got back from India he seemed a little lost.
Bex says I guess he's doing what he needs to do and we have to accept that.
Andi says I'll try.
CeCe says let's agree to never take each other for granted.
Then Bex says I love everyone at this table.
Hmm, who wasn't at the table?

His father was B. Keith Westmoreland. A Republican state Representative in Tennessee. He committed suicide after being charged with exposing himself to underage girls. It was the third incident the police were aware of but the first they had enough evidence to charge him.

At his funeral, Stoney Westmoreland said "I hold my head high. Everything I am today, I learned from my dad."
