Who translated the title?
I've read that the movie has something to do with Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman". Then, shouldn't the title of this film be "The Salesman"?

shareyou're somehow right. but the french translation is wrong not the english. it must be le vendeur which means salesman, not le client which means customer!
shareThe English translation used to be "The Seller"! At least they fixed that one!
shareThe French title is not wrong. There is already French movie with the same name Le Vendeur from 2016 so they wanna it to avoid confusion. Considering that fact, I think they have found quite interesting and playfull solution: if there is a salesman there must be a client too :)
shareWhat a mess international distributors are doing with this film and the profusion of different titles. Here in Brazil it's being rleased as " The Apartment "
shareAgreed! Especially when a movie has an easily pronounceable title, then why not retain the original title (perhaps with the accurate translation in parentheses, if you must). Why not just "Forushande" in this case?
shareThe movie has something about miller's book ! First the name was the saler and when they wanted to show it on France the've change it to saleman
