I've got to say, they didn't do the nonlinear storytelling well at all. I figured out pretty early what was going on and still couldn't tell if certain things were happening now or long in the past. Decades are supposedly passing between episodes. I'm sure many viewers were utterly confused.

And they also seem to forget all the powers and abilities that Geralt has. He barely uses magic or appears stronger than a normal man, just a better fighter. Walking those planks on the mountain should have been nothing to someone with his gifts like spatial perception and body supremacy.

And what was even more confusing: no one fucking aged.

Those planks were not a problem, for him.

Yes. One can understand later that most of this happening before the attack, but early on, you got to have people asking how three decades have passed while the little girl has stayed the same.

Continuity and showing the passage of time is always a big problem. GOT did a horrible job of it, although a lot people gave them a pass.

Yeah, it would jump timelines scene to scene in some episodes. Hella confusing.
They can't do it justice like Westworld did.

Think that's my biggest gripe with the show. The timeline jumping, it was abjectly confusing. I understand the point in doing so, it just made it a chose to figure things out.

Could have been done as flashbacks. This is not a mystery - there was no real need for this.

Agreed on the timeline--total mess.

And double agree on Witcher: he was a guy with big muscles and great fighting skills. Hardly ever used magic. Zzzzzzz.

I know nothing about this story, and I was 3 episodes in before I realized this shit was non-linear. Not sure why anyone would think this is better story-telling. All it does is make me think harder than I want to. I do that enough in life, and would like my entertainment to not strain my little mind.

It's not a bad story, but if Netflix wants this to be their "Game of Thrones", they need to make it more appealing to everyone.
