I've not played the games or read the books, so a totally newbie, liked the trailer looked good with the action, cgi and drama.

i just watched the first episode and was bored as hell, almost fell asleep half way through, cavill looked awkward in his armour suit - the guys got a weird body shape his traps are so triangle it made the shoulder armour look weird.

I've watched other shows (Breaking Bad, stranger things, G.O.T, even Mandalorian) and they get you excited and wanting more after the first episode, but this one i ain't even sure about watching the second episode.

The story which there was little of was boring, the acting was non existent in most parts especially Cavill just was bland, alittle bit of nudity kept it going, CGI isn't that good, the fights just not that good - This seems like a syfy show.

I thought Cavill seemed perfect for the role..
As far as the rest..this sort of story isn't usually my thing but then neither was GOT or The Last Kingdom when I started so I'm willing to give it a chance.
It looks like a slow burn but I'm ok with that if it delivers..

I really don't understand how Cavill is seen as good for the role. He is far too hench and his jawline is way too square and nothing like how Geralt is described in the books or portrayed in the game.

Sufficed to say I was not at all enamoured by the series. I played the Witcher 3 and loved it because of the tone it set, the story it told and the atmosphere it delivered; this delivered a platter of dullness and mediocrity.

I think his weird body shape had to do more with his arms. I don't think they ever finished growing. It's really obvious when he was in his Superman outfit.

I think his body proportions are whack and would fit someone more tall, like Dwayne Johnson.
Henry is too bulky, which makes him look short and more like a Dwarf lol.
