I love Ken Loach and I've seen almost all his movies.
From the Italian (I'm Italian, yes) trailer, "I, Daniel Blake" seems almost a "family movie" - something like "Raining Stones", for example. So, I'm thinking to take my 11 years old daughter to see it.
Do you think this film is suitable for a 11 years old girl?
It's a 15, so I doubt she'll get in. Plus, films that are 15 now would have been 18 when I was a kid, so I'd suggest probably not.
shareI think that it's only the strong language which pushes it from a 12A to a 15 rating. I have no children myself, but hypothetically, I wouldn't object to my 11 year old child seeing it

Yes, the language is strong, but in the Italian television (or in our streets) a kid usually hears words of that kind.
My children are in their 20s these days, but I would have no hesitation in taking them to see this film. Why? Cos its a good portrayal of how inhuman government organisations relentlessly ground the vulnerable down into the ground. These are important life lessons, and your daughter has properly described the response that the reality of this movie conveys about the impact of government policies against the poor
