Was Stan Li a scammer?

In the video call scene, he felt so like snake oil salesman.

How do you feel about him?

reply

There were no suggestions that he was a scammer. The black guy received his packages with no problems. Just because Stan Li is Chinese you think he is not to be trusted?

Nope. It's his facial expression and body language. At some point he seems like giving the impression like "Hey, hurry up, you just gonna trust me." The tactic scammers always use. Again, it's just how I feel.

LOL, the difference in time zone has nothing to do with it? Maybe he was ready to go to bed. Also, English is not his first language.

Globalisation is real. Don't be afraid of the Chinese, embrace them and trade with them!

You are probably right. I could still be having negative racial bias on Chinese. Maybe I have projected my personal impression to the character. (But that's also why my OP ☺)

I don't think there is any suggestion that he was conning them, he's just like they are, looking for a quick buck.

I'm not sure. At first it seemed legit, but then when Dan said "he's probably at the Chinese down the road" I couldn't help but think he might be right. If you have some counterfeit shoes (or possibly a batch that have fallen off the back of a lorry) and you want some others to sell them for you, his story works well as a front.
