‘Amazing Stories’ Showrunners Explain the Approach to Their Apple TV+ Reboot [Interview]

I think it suffer if you compare to the original. The original had big names directors doing episodes like Scorsses , Robert Zemekis , Spielberg, Joe Dante. Episodes felt literally like mini movies. This new one in my opinion already feels like a downgrade. John Williams epic score from the original clashes with these new episodes because it just do not fit with the content like the original did. The new episodes doesn't have that Amblim-esque 80's quality of the old one. The good thing about the old one was that the length of the episode really suited the story it was telling, you had episodes of 30 minutes and episodes of one hour depending on the story but not the new one.I really felt the episodes so far did not have enough meat to be one hour and would have been more enjoyable cut to 30 minutes each, they would have felt less drawn out .OK now I know it sounds like I did not like the new show but I did despise it's flaws all I'm saying is if you do not compare it to the old one and pretend it is not suppose to be a reboot of the old show , if you see it as a modern day anthology show, like a family version of black mirror than it is very serviceable and a fun 1 hour distraction.
