I finally saw a trailer for the new season
I don't think I'm going to bother with it. Not trying to complain about something that I haven't seen, and I know that no one really cares what I think, but I just couldn't muster any interest in it.

shareAgreed. The whole reason the show worked was the great chemistry between the 2 actors. Plus, Crawford was likable and a great actor. The Stiffler guy just seems like a dope, and anytime I ever see him onscreen, I just see Stiffler. What a shame they couldn't have worked through the behind-the-scenes issues. It was a rare GREAT show on network TV. Now, I'm betting it will die rather quickly....
sharewhat a piss poor way of doing the transition from old show to new show. Crawford wasnt in any part of it. The Riggs character had maybe like 2 seconds screen time. The opening scene is the intro to Cole. That alone tells you how much thought they put into Riggs being written off. The setup for him is a bit weak in that it had no emotional weight to it. It then cuts to Murtaugh in the hospital. Even that seems so phoney and the lack of continuity with Wayans' beard echoes how the quality of the show has gone down. Then cuts to 6 months with the Murtaughs all whining about how Roger has been a mess for 6 months. No mention of Molly and her kid. No funeral scene, no depth or drama to the loss of the character. Cahill is in like two scenes and thats really the only time where theres any connection to the previous seasons. Everyone else is in a whole other show now.share
Wayans just seems to be phoning it in because he doesnt come off as someone who lost his best friend. more like a guy who just has no place in the story. which is how a Lethal Weapon movie would play out if you just got Glover and no Gibson.
this show ended for me when they fired Crawford, will not watch again.
shareI don't care if it's great. I won't support this show or Damon's ego after this bonehead debacle.
shareI'm going to give the new season an episode or so, but the true is you kill off the main character (Riggs), you just killed the show.
shareI will probably give it a try as my pvr is set up for it. I know when it first aired I watched with trepidation and was pleasantly surprised, so who really knows. I don't really know what happened behind the scenes, but the reason I enjoyed it was Crawford and not Wayans.
