I liked the scenes that he had with Harriet, the Duchess of Sutherland..great chemistry there too! Gee, when Ernst told Albert that the only thing he "took" was a lock of her hair and that he loved her, it kind of broke my heart...
I thought the same myself. But Albert in real life wasn't exactly a Tom Hardy, but he was okay.
