So where do you think this amazing series will go next?

Any wild speculations?

Summerland people and D3 will temporarily join forces to go after Oliver/Lenny. David knows where they are heading, but he is in the sphere and that will make the search more interesting at first, cause David can't help them with advice.

Summerland will blame D3 for abducting David, D3 will say "it wasn't us", and in the end it turns out there's a third party responsible for abducting David. The third party will also become the enemy.

Oliver/Lenny will continue to search for something hidden. ("Where did you hide it?") We'll find out what probably at the very end of the season.

Nice, that's a pretty solid prediction! I don't know if I could do better, and I also basically agree with where you think it could go.

I would bet on other parties getting involved too, David is probably the hottest commodity on the planet really. I don't think that will ever sit well with him though. Who wants to be thought of constantly as something to be used, traded, or weaponized, ya know? As I've said elsewhere, I think at some point, he'll end up on the run from all of this. I also imagine somewhere in season 2 his personalities will start to emerge and he will (and us) will have to start dealing with that and seeing how that begins to play itself out.

Other than that, I don't think I could get anywhere near what they might have in mind, haha. I'm also happy to let them keep surprising me!

Excellent speculations, thanks! One thing is for sure, it will be another wild ride.

Btw I'm listening to the Bolero Scene right now, but then you probably already guessed that.

I predict at least one more scene similar to Bolero scene in 2nd season. Something to look forward to!

reply

I have no doubt they'll continue to make moments of that caliber as well as sticking with a stellar soundtrack!
Hold onto your parasite halos, guys!

I certainly hope so!

πŸ˜‡ Also, another Lenny dance would be nice. Or maybe Oliver's dance this time, he seems like a type to do it in a sexy way.

reply

Just more dances, in general, I'd be down with, lol!

I think Oliver and Lenny are going to go to New York City and try to make it as a folk-rock band. Cary’s going to be their manager of course. Mel…anie is going to end up stalking Oliver. The hidden thing'll turn out to be the demo for "The most beautiful girl (in the astral plane)", that they were going to give out to record execs and such.

On a more serious note, since most (all) of my predictions have been wrong so far, it's probably going to be the complete opposite of what I think it's going to be. But I think Apis and Dreamers covered the basics well.

What I'm looking forward to is Oliver dealing with Lenny. He seems even more out of it than David was, so that'll be an interesting dynamic. Also I'd like to see more development of the secondary characters.

Who has David, a potential friend, or yet someone else who wants to use his powers? But Summerland (and D3?) are going to have their hands full with both of them kidnaped at the same time. Maybe we'll see some sort of tentative alliance there. Or D3 is going to take the opportunity with David gone to deal with Summerland, since Bird was so cocky about them having David on their side. That might turn out to bite her in the ass.

LOL!

Hawley has said he's going to do just that!

I also think Oliver isn't that good of a guy as we've been led to believe. Ya know, the information we've gotten about him has come from very biased sources, mostly Melanie aka Miss K/T 2.0. What she did say to help this line of thinking along is him getting lost in the astral plane because he got too tempted by being his own God. So, that's the kind of mindset he can be susceptible to, which makes Lenny being a part of him now even more dangerous, I think!

A lot of people think The Equinox was the device that took David at the end so assume he's with D3, but considering how he dealt with them last time...I imagine they'll be taking EXTRA precaution this time if they do have him. He's still gonna smoke them all away, whomever it is, at first anyways....probably.

> Hawley has said he's going to do just that! <
Great, because I keep calling Ptonomy Olympus lol Some more stuff with them's going to be good.

Oliver's been kind of a humorous character so far, because his mind's pretty much gone from all those years in the astral. But they've already flipped the script on us when it comes to who we think characters are, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's more willing to give into Lenny, than David was. And since, I think it's safe to assume, Summerland's a rebel group of some sort, all of them might turn out to be of questionable character. At the very least Bird has some "interesting" views on humanity, so it'd make sense for her husband not to be just an affable weirdo (with some cool powers).

Why do I think it's going to be more that just "D3 has him". It seems a bit too easy for Legion lol. But there are a few way this can go, so I'll try not to assume too much at this point.

The Equinox? What is that?

😎

reply

That D3 commander or whatever (the one sitting down that seemed to be the boss of their group) said at one point in the finale when stuff was going sideways (forgive me, I don't recall the precise moment), "bring in The Equinox," or something like that. We don't know, for sure, what the hell that means...but a lot of people have guessed that it was the orb that zapped David away.

reply

Is that what he said? I thought one of his guys asked "Should we launch the Equalizer?"

😎

reply

They named two different defenses. I believe the first one was, "The Peacemaker," and then when shit started going down the commander guy went back on that and told them to change it to, "The Equinox."

I mean, the orb thing is speculation, it's still very much up in the air what either of those things really are.

reply

Yes! That was it: Peacemaker! Do we know what the Equinox is by any chance?

😎

reply

That's what I was saying...that some people have theorized the orb that took David was The Equinox, but we just don't really know. Curse you hiatus!

reply

Yes, but do we know what The Equinox is? Is it something canon to Marvel? I'm not that up to speed with the whole Marvel universe.

😎

reply

Ohhhh...my bad, didn't get that that's what you meant! I do not know, I am not a Marvel/DC/comic book person at all. I only know a few general bits and pieces of that stuff that I've just incidentally picked up through various reading/discussions.

I don't know if The Equinox is something that comes up in the comic books or not. Sorry!

reply

I just googled Equinox, and it's not an it, it's a he. He's an obscure Marvel villain whose main historical appearances were in 1974 and 1977. His real name is Terry Sorenson, and he's a thermodynamic "fire and ice" guy.

He absorbs great amounts of heat, becomes covered in flames, and shoots out ice at his enemies. When he absorbs cold he's mostly ice. and shoots out bolts of flames.

A very odd character.

reply

Oh, wow, interesting guy indeed. Although, I'm not betting on this show sticking religiously to its source material. I think it'll keep the spirit and incorporate elements, but it'll largely remain its own thing...so I don't know, just because something is apart of canon doesn't convince me it will definitely be involved on the show.

Gotta wait to find out!

Yep.
