Why non-whites as leads?
I prefer white people as lead characters.
shareI don’t give a shit what color they are but it does kinda bug me when they do this shit as to not be labeled racist if they don’t. Take that new Little Mermaid movie; I actually enjoyed it. Did I care that all the sudden Ariel was a black girl and not a white girl? If it was because she was a better candidate talent-wise for the part then no but if it was because they felt they needed a different race actress to play the part because the original cartoon was a white girl then yeah, that bugs me but, oh well. It is what it is.

It's a fact that people tend to be more comfortable with people that look like them. This has been studied and confirmed. I'd assume it's an early function of biology.
