Is this a show where ungrateful whiny bitch kids ruin everything?

Started binge watching and am on episode 3. Is this going to be another show where whiny bitch kids ruin everything? I'm already hoping for an episode where the daughter is tortured to death.

Actually, the show subverts a lot of family tropes over the course of the series. You should stick it out for the first season at least.
