how did they see Alejandro get shot in that pit?
They were miles away in their helicopters. Afterwards they said something like "I'm glad we didn't have to do it." Is this just the director contracting time and space to speed the plot along--same as he does a little later when Alejandro gets up and walks to the SUV, which should have been many miles away--or are we informed somewhere earlier (and I missed it) that their spy satellites can see minute human details anywhere in that area? Also, it was very strange that neither side bothered to check to see that he was really dead. So I was expecting him to get up again (and I hadn't seen the first movie).
This is all in addition to the horrible unlikeliness of the plot which seemed to have been inspired by the fever dreams of our idiot president. Oh and gosh, did they jump the gun a little, finding out 2/3 of the way through the movie the the terrorists were US citizens? Oops!
