POSSIBLE SPOILERS Left a lot of room for sequel[s].

A lot of the plot lines were left open ended.

"So you want to be a Sicario?"
A cartel princess put into witness protection against orders. She seemed to revel in her life of privilege despite how such privilege was acquired. Why would she do such a thing? Who is going to set this up and pay for it?
Going against orders.
Being left out of the unit and slated for elimination. What now?

All in all I enjoyed the film very much. Taylor Sheridan is great!

Hopefully it does well enough to have a 3rd movie. I really enjoy this franchise.

During the promotional tour for this sequel talks about a third film were already happening, and not just by Del Toro (who is definitely up for it). It all depends on how well it performs, though I bet a third movie is a strong possibility no matter how substantial its BO is.

That being said, why a sequel to Sicario was necessary is something many have asked (not me), so making a third film would seem even more pointless. Granted this sequel might’ve had its problems, but either way the sound of at least a trilogy sounds cool.

If, by your accounts, many, but not you, have enquired about a sequel, why do say it would be "Pointless?" Also, you note that Del Toro is up for it. If there is money to be made and a willing cast, then there will be a sequel.

Do you think I am way too fond of the comma?

First of all, comma comma. Jamaica and roma. In other words, you do you.

Secondly, knowing how a large number of critics (and fans of the original) saw the sequel as unnecessary, if a third film was announced then I am 100% sure the word “pointless” would be thrown around quite a bit. That’s all I was “suggesting” by saying it would be pointless, it is, not my personal opinion.

I absolutely love these Sicario movies and would finance a third myself if I could.
