Emily Blunt won't be in it....
ugh. benecio and emily were the best things about the first film. and they wrote her character off. Recipe for disaster.

Lol, and you do? What a dumb comment. The OP never claimed to be a writer but was stating an opinion about the lack of a key character in the fist film which should give anyone pause, no matter how much they want this film to be great, it could be a bad choice story wise... Im sure it will hopefully be written in a way that it won't matter. But it could also be done badly so that its awkward without Blunts character.. Hopefully not the latter.

Wouldn't really make sense to especially given the ending of Sicario
shareHer character's story was told. There was nothing else to add by bringing her back.
shareI wasn’t feeling this idea at first. Although looking at how her character’s arc was pretty much resolved, there wouldn’t be much reason for her to return. In all likelihood, her character left this world completely behind her after everything she went through.
Focusing entirely on Del Toro’s character while having Brolin in a more prominent role seems like the only way to go.
