I thought brainwashing or robots I never thought some supernatural or science fiction stuff where someone has some of there brain in someone else's body or whatever that was

The brain transplant plot is good body horror though. Invasion of the Body Snatchers influence.
The hypnosis would not have continued to work after the brain transplant because post hypnotic suggestions (and all memory) would be stored in frontal lobes, which got removed and thrown away, with the old white person's brain implanted. It sounded like the only part of the original brain they kept was the "life support" systems, so they wouldn't remember the hypnotic trigger or who they were.
It needed more thinking out. I think Chris should've been reincarnated and finds his old home town in handyman fashion.
