Banks blames marketing for movie’s failure

In a recent interview, Elizabeth Banks blamed the movie’s failure on the studio marketing it as “just for girls,” ignoring the fact that she did the same thing.

she's just wrong and apparently stupid about it too. whatever.
I watched most of this film, and it was exactly as I expected. well filmed but not that great a film.

hey, let's annoy ALL the males in the audience right out of the gate with the first words, a women looking into the camera and saying, "Women can do anything". she's an idiot.

"Women can do anything"

Except, apparently, taking responsibility for their own failures. :)

Except produce sperm. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

maybe.... MAYBE... it wasn't the marketing, but the entire concept: lets take a sexy babes, hair and boobs concept and remove the SEXY babes and boobs completely, and make them almost dykes. yeah, great idea.

I know! Let's change MAGIC MIKE, and make him a monk that doesn't dance, or be sexual. MILLION DOLLAR IDEA!!! :D

fucking idiots

It was like watching non-binary 12 year olds in an action film.

hahahaha yes

What's she going to do, take responsibility? That's not how the game works.

k, i had to read this.

1. if you want to make a movie to attract men, MAYBE find out what men are attracted to. and don't make a film that is the exact opposite of that.

2. she INGORES and chastises direct advice from those in the industry that know better than her?? how stupid is that? I would LISTEN to successful people over NOT listening to them.

3. a LOT of bullshit babbling about what SHOULD be. how about this: shut up and PROVE yourself, don't just talk about how things SHOULD be. Like the women in your movie, you have to PROVE you deserve anything, not just show up and expect it. PROVE IT, or shut up and take your seat. 2nd place is just the first loser.

She's causing MORE problems for feminism than she is fixing at this point.

This movie and the hoopla around it will always bother me for a couple of reasons.
-The two movies that came out in the early 2000s were hits. It was a "girl power" movie that everyone went to see. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
- No one is owed a hit movie. The movie was a feminist movie and if that's what Elizabeth Banks wanted her movie to be that's fine. But don't then act like an entitled cunt when the male population decides not to see it because we know the movie "isn't made for us". You won't be a successful director by demonizing half the human race like this.

She then tries to make it an issue that a woman hasn't directed a Mission Impossible movie. So what and I don't care. That's not a real problem.

reply

Feminists like her are completely clueless.
