IMDb ratings/reviews - campaign by the CA fan club?

The first 57 reviews of this on IMDb rate it 10/10 (plenty of "Can't wait for the sequel!'' type comments 😂). Still nowhere near enough to rescue it from 4.8 overall (total of 59,209 votes).

Not any worse than all of the people who rated it 1/10 without watching it which is the main reason why it has such a low rating.
