'Failing up' is the last trend in Hollywood. You get a promotion for making something that utterly fails, but that proves you're a good believer in the woke religion.
What do you think? Will she fail up, like Paul Feig or Rian Johnson?
I haven't seen the movie, but my sense is that it failed for reasons other than the direction of Elizabeth Banks, from casting and marketing going all that way back to the "greenlight" decision. It may just be that they vastly misjudged the appetite for another version of Charlie's Angels.
