They've changed the Saint so much--will he still kill God in the end?

They have made this show so unlike the comics, nothing is written in stone at this point.

That is a very dark and cynical story/ending. Do you think the American audience could take it? But it is interesting to see where they will take the show storywise.

...(spoiler)...like for example when God allows that old lady to kill Tulip and then brings her back to life so that Preacher will see how good he is. Thats a entertaining story.

It's a dark ending, but I wouldn't say it's cynical. There's no reason to not go for it when they get there. The main difference between the Saint and the main characters in the comic and the way they're depicted on screen is that in the comic he's already actualized the first time we see them. In the show, they're aren't --allowing character arcs to play out dramatically over the course of the series.

"I speak Spanish to God, French to women, English to men, and Japanese to my horse."

My guess is that much of what made the comic so controversial is going to be removed, like the ending.

You also guessed, or actually guaranteed that Trump wouldn't get elected. Guess your opinions are meaningless, huh?

IMDb is not a spoiler-free zone, and the Preacher comic ended 16 years ago. If someone comes to this board and is spoiled by discussions of the comic, that's their fault and no one else's.

this is a touchy subject and yes the comic has been out for a long time but the series just started, adding spoiler before the sentence would have added a few seconds to your post, who knows where the writers are going to take the show but just telling the big ending is a spoiler. Just like people who dont read Game of thrones books after they were made into a series, let people enjoy this at their own speed and the way they want.
