Why did the saint kill the woman at the end?

He's brought back to kill Jesse, but he just shoots her in the back without even knowing who or what she is. I get that it was meant to show that he's ruthless and that she wouldn't come back after being shot by his guns, but it still didn't make much sense. He comes back from hell to kill a preacher and just shoots the first person he sees?

He is the saint of killers. That's what he does.

So he's just going to kill every person he sees?

In the comics, he was so full of rage, resentment etc that when he died and went to hell - he broke it. The Devil and the Angel of Death made a deal with him to get him out of hell. That's how bad he is. This is from memory, I read the comics years ago.

Although saying that, he did come across like a reasonable guy later on - bit of a funny personality really.

He went to hell with pure hatred in his soul... quenched the fires of hell and froze it.

He's still a man that can be reasoned with... and Jesse confronts the man.

Thanks for the info...can't wait til more episodes are up!!!

I don't get the references to him as "The Saint?" Can anyone explain, please?

reply

The show has called not called him that yet but the characters title or nickname is the Saint of Killers. So yeah he's basically the Patron Saint of killing.

reply

Hm, thanks, but how is he a "saint?"

reply

He's not really an authenticated saint. His backstory and name come from his stint in hell in which his soul was so cold he caused hell to freeze over upon his entry. It geos on from there. I'm guessing the show will probably cover all this next season.

He is who killers, hitmen and such, pray to.
