I've just stumbled upon this as I searched for something decent to watch at 9.00pm. I have not seen any adverts for it? Usually channels will advertise a new series so much it puts you off watching after having endless adverts. Not this ? Unless I missed them all. I've come in my favourite site (this one!) for some information and opinions but there's nothing much to see. Maybe no one else knew of its airing? Oh well must go it's back on. So far ok.
I spotted this for download so thought I'd check out what it was about, and the synopsis is the most boring thing I've read possibly in my entire life, whoever wrote that needs to delete themselves from the internet. Either this is the most boring TV show ever made or that synopsis is brutally bad, why even make a TV show so boring that there is literally nothing of worth to write about it?
The plot summary on the IMDb title page for the series was written by someone for whom English is obviously not their native language (I presume they are Greek) and quite frankly it was almost unreadable. I have done my best to try and turn what they wrote into something vaguely resembling English.
They wrote a plot summary so there is still the option of you writing a thrilling two line plot outline for the page.
No, I thought not.

I actually saw lots of adverts for this, im just guessing you missed them, pretty much the only thing i watch on itv is the chase so im guessing the adverts were are that time slot
I had seen an advert for this on TV a few times before watching it's first episode last night. The advert clip showed Louisa telling her children not to speak to the native because he is Greek.
Hmm yeah now I think about it, I don't think I saw any adverts for it either. I normally fast forward through ads, but usually end up catching the ones advertised by the channel I'm watching. I knew it was going to be broadcast as it had a double page spread in my TV guide, and was in two minds about whether to watch it, as I'd never heard of the Durrells or the Corfu books. Anyway, I recorded it and watched it earlier today and quite liked it. The boy who plays Gerry seems very sweet, I had to laugh when he brought the tortoise (unless it was a turtle) in! What did you think of the first episode?
I also had not seen any adverts for this programme only a section in a TV guide on dramas to watch out for in spring. Yes, agree the youngest Durrel is so innocent and so passionate about living animals.
The daughter scene with the sun bathing and the priest coming out for a quick fag is so funny.
