I’m a bit conflicted here...

1) So I like Christopher Nolan
2) I like Tom Hardy
3) I like Cillian Murphy
4) I liked some of Nolan’s films
5) I don’t mind war movies
6) Or historical movies set in a war
7) I feel that Nolan would do a fine job with this movie regardless
8) But I don’t like Harry Styles (or 1D)
9) Or the fact that Styles will be one of the main leads in this type of movie
10) But I do trust Nolan with this project

(Sorry if this post seems like a 1000th of ‘those’ kind of threads/rants, or that I could be contributing to those posts in some ways. But hear me out a little...)

Eh, part of me would like to see this movie but at the same time, I’m feeling a little indecisive about that idea too. Particularly if I could sit through some parts in cinema, especially with noisy fans reminding me of who their favorite is on the big screen. Btw, I don’t really want to disrespect anyone on here who happens to be a fan of this kid. I guess it's fine that you do. But that’s just how I kind of felt at the moment.

I don't really think you have to worry about Styles. His part is small from what I have heard and it's not like he will be singing and dancing.

I've also heard the film won't have too much dialogue involved either. Kind of like in Mad Max: Fury Road?

ALurker, I saw this movie today. I have no idea who Harry Styles is or which character he played in the movie. I loved this movie. We were in a packed theater today to watch it and I'd say the audience agreed with me. Don't miss it because you don't like a certain actor. I'd say the acting was outstanding for every character.

^agreed. I had no idea who harry styles (was).. i do now, but he didnt ruin the movie. He played a supporting role along with 10 others, and did a fine job.

Ditto to that. I'm aware of Harry Styles, but couldn't have picked his face out. Nothing felt like stunt casting, and I wasn't entirely sure he was for a while, which iin this case was a positive thing to say. :-)

Well, after reading the earlier comments, I finally did google him and I see why people may have had some trepidation. He has like a lion's mane haircut. I have no idea what his real personality is like, but I can say, he gives a terrific performance in the movie.
