We know how Eleanor (and the other Eleanor) died, and we kind of can guess about Jason, but I am curious about how Tahini and Chidi died.
I'm sure if the show survives, they will show more of the back stories of all the main characters.
Well we know now, Chidi died when an air conditioner he kept hitting through indecisiveness fell and hit him on the head...which hit him cause he spent thirty minutes standing in the same place trying to decide on a bar to go drink.
Tahini I'm betting how she died was the clincher that assured she would get into the good place. She's not a bad person, but she is a bit to conceited and insecure not have done something truly definitive to get a spot.
Jason's death was described tonight. He tried to break into an establishment but got suffocated in his hiding place. Apparently he was high at the time, because he can't remember the details when he gets to the Good Place.
We are also told the Jiyadi died at the same instant. He went into a religious trance and never woke up.
I don't think the real Jianyu is dead. I think he said they thought he was dead because of the trance
shareMaybe, but whoever runs the Good Place thought he was dead, because they thought that he had arrived.
shareKeep in mind Michael is only pretending to not know Jason doesn't belong in the fake good place. The real Jiunyu could very well be in the good place. They know Jason's identity from the start, and they go through the motions because Jason was a thief when he was alive and they trust he'll play along since he's the type to want something for nothing.
